A leading and growing Oil & Gas company located just Northeast of Downtown Houston is seeking a dynamic HR Administrator to join their team. Starting compensation is $24-$25/hour depending on experience. Seeking at least 2 years of human resources experience specifically handling benefits. This role is 100% onsite.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in benefits administration
- PHR or SHRM-CP, or willing to obtain within 12 months of start date
- Up to date knowledge of benefits plans, eligibility requirements, and regulatory changes
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees with benefits-related inquiries and concerns
- Conducts benefits presentations for all new hires
- Ensure benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations are processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Process new hire onboarding into HRIS and update employee information as required
- Complete I-9 verifications in E-Verify
- Inform and guide employees on benefits matters concerning eligibility, coverage, and provisions during open enrollment and throughout the plan year.
- Administer daily activities related to benefit programs, to include processing qualified life event changes, monitoring enrollment deadlines, and drafting employee correspondence.
- Compile and maintain benefits records and documentation, to include eligibility files and evidence of insurability, unpaid premiums, and medical support orders
- Respond to or assist vendors with responses to employee inquiries on general plan provisions, benefit enrollment, qualifying events, and claims procedures.
- Manage employee leave requests and maintain all documentation of FMLA and unpaid LOA
- Assist with special projects, initiatives, and other administrative duties as required
